TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - The recent release of comparative employee turnover rates by the American Association of Homes & Services for the Aging affords a number of positive indicators for Grand Traverse Pavilions.
Although on a national level employee turnover is perhaps the largest issue facing long-term care providers, the turnover rates for Grand Traverse Pavilions is exceptionally low compared to elsewhere in Michigan and the nation as a whole.
According to Richard E. Marion, Jr., chief executive officer and administrator at
The Pavilions, the low turnover rates at The Pavilions are a testament to the high quality of the environment.
“Without exception, our low rates speak to the strength of our management, education, and quality first initiatives, as well as the dedication and commitment of our employees,” Marion said. “They also attest to the fact that Grand Traverse Pavilions is an employer of choice in our region.”
Marion noted that turnover rates directly impact quality of care. He said when turnover is high, there is a measurable influence on client and family satisfaction, employee morale, overall deficiencies and problems.
“We make every effort to encourage meaningful interaction among people of all ages on our campus,” Marion noted. “That is our benchmark for success.”
