American college of health care administrators to present Grand traverse pavilions with national journalism award
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The American College of Health Care Administrators presented Grand Traverse Pavilions with its national Journalism Award at its 39th Annual Convocation & Exposition in Providence, Rhode Island. The national accolade recognizes an individual or organization for excellent journalistic achievement representing fair and accurate reporting of the long-term care industry.

Grand Traverse Pavilions also recently received the prestigious Journalism Award from the Michigan Chapter of the American College of Health Care Administrators. The award was presented at the association’s annual state conference in Kalamazoo.

Richard E. Marion, Jr., chief executive officer and administrator of Grand Traverse Pavilions, noted that the organization was extremely proud to accept these awards. “We are committed to providing the best possible information to individuals and families about their health care and residential options,” he said. “We want to help people make the right choices to meet their individual needs.”

Grand Traverse Pavilions is owned by Grand Traverse County and operated by the Grand Traverse County Family Independence Agency Board. The Pavilions is the parent organization of Grand Traverse Medical Care, Intergenerational Community Center, Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation, The Cottages: Adult Residential Community, and the Aquatic/Wellness Center. As a continuum of care, Grand Traverse Pavilions offers adult day and overnight respite, assisted living, long-term, skilled nursing care, child care services, health and fitness programs, and outpatient therapy services.
