The joint was jumpin' at Generations Gala 2006. The annual fund raiser for the Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation broke all kinds of records - including attendance, auction items, and sponsorships.
This year, the event took place Friday, Sept. 29, at the Park Place Hotel Dome in Traverse City. The fun began with a reception, silent and live auction, dinner and dancing.
Among the items contributed to the Uptown Downtown festivities were: sailing for 50 people on the Tall Ship Manitou from Traverse City Tall Ship Co.; two round trip airline tickets from Passageways Travel; a week stay at the Popp Inn on West Silver Lake from Ron & Bridget Popp and Popp Excavating; and a $1500 pair of diamond earrings from Federico's.
Proceeds from Generations Gala benefit the Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation Benevolence Fund. The fund provides individuals access to programs and services at The Pavilions they might not otherwise be able to participate in with this financial assistance.
